Celine Apollon

Celine works with the World Bank as a qualitative researcher and communications specialist on women’s rights, urban development, and gender-based violence in Congo-Brazzaville.
She was previously a Senior Research Partner at the Aspen Institute Financial Security Program (FSP), where she worked to expand economic opportunity, especially within Black and Brown communities.
Celine is also the founder of the feminist collective TANGU, which empowers Congolese artists and tries to promote their visibility. She is also a filmmaker whose recent documentary WHOLE amplifies climate and ecological concerns through a creative lens.
