Janis is the founder and CEO of Janis Burger Photography. She is a self-taught photographer whose work has taken her across the globe.

Through her lens, Janis captures the emotional depth of human experiences, telling compelling stories that build empathy and connection. She has attended workshops organised by renowned photographers such as Maggie Steber, Peter Turnley and many others, constantly refining her craft. She has also been mentioned on the Lens Culture.

In addition to her creative work, Janis served as Chief Executive Officer of First 5 Alameda County, an organization committed to supporting early childhood development. She also brings extensive board experience in the nonprofit sector, where she has contributed to causes focused on education, and family well-being.
