Celebrating the success of our Outreach Program on February 2, 2023, which impacted 130 girls and mothers in Njingang, Cameroon.

Our organization is delighted to announce the success of our Outreach Program that took place in the
community of Njingang in Cameroon on February 2nd, 2023. The event was well attended, with over 70
young girls and 60 mothers participating.
The focus of the campaign was the challenges faced by young girls in the academic setting. We aimed to understand the obstacles young girls encounter in accessing and remaining in school as well as raise awareness in the community on the importance of young girls’ education. We invited both the young girls and their mothers to gain insights into the challenges they face in ensuring their daughters receive an education.
During the event, the girls spoke openly about the difficulties they experience, such as lack of food during school affecting their capacity to concentrate in class, numerous household chores, unsupportive teachers, and lack of sexual education leading to a high rate of teenage pregnancies and high school dropout rates. The mothers expressed their concerns about sending their daughters to school, fearing that they may become pregnant and reduce their chances of getting married with a high bride price.
After hearing their concerns, it became evident that both mothers and young girls are in need of sexual
education programs to address the issue of unwanted/teenage pregnancies in their community. We were
amazed at the end of the program when the mothers thanked us for this initiative and requested further
education sessions on sexual health for their daughters, as they were uncomfortable discussing such topics themselves.
Moreover, the community showed great support for the program, with teachers, community leaders, and experts attending the event.

Thanks to generous donations, we provided free food, books, writing and reading materials, and cleaning
supplies to the young girls, which were greatly appreciated by the recipients.
The success of this outreach program has highlighted the need for our initiative in the region. It has also
emphasized the importance of sexual and reproductive health education for girls. We are now planning to
implement a comprehensive sexual and reproductive health program in the community in 2024 to address the issue of teenage pregnancies and reduce school dropouts among girls.
We have come this far with the support of donors like you, and we are grateful for your continued support.

Thank you for your contributions, trust, and unwavering support towards our mission. Together, we can make a difference.
